Hotel Balmes, A Member Of Preferred Hotels & Resorts - Barcelona

All in all everything was first-class, had a late check-out until 12:00 pm. Staff was super particularly helpful and caring. Excellent and unbeatable location to attractions like designed apartments, that was close to the hotel. We liked the very good service. Moreover, we parked the car nearby.

The location was amazing, within walking distance of Casa Mila. There was a pretty good restaurant, a market and posh shops next door. It was as expected, had an excellent stay out of 6 nights.

Reasonable, Good location with very good tapas bars just two blocks away. Easy assess to buses to and from the airport, good location for shopping and sight seeing. I would recommend this hotel

Drived in August with an adult daughter for eight nights. A quiet side street (700 meters from Plaza Catalunya - 15 minutes on foot) from which you can easily reach all the sights and streets of Gracia with its expensive boutiques and "quarter of discord". Cozy quiet courtyard, very green, with sun beds and a small pool. By the pool there are towels - get some sunbathing. There is a bar and a Turkish steam room - it takes only 15 minutes to ask to turn on. There are 3 simulators - it's a gym)))). By the pool (the water in August was a bit colder than in the sea) there are always free sun loungers - it became a real salvation from the heat... We used to come to the pool with our champagne (cava - sparkling wine) - always brought glasses and ice (thanks to the hotel!). Everywhere is perfect cleanliness. All cosmetic and bath accessories are available, including files, cotton pads, bathrobes, slippers... The cleaning is good. The staff is very quick and polite - always say hello and smile. Beautiful interior in African style. At reception cold water with mint or lemon and apples is a trifle, but nice ... The bed is very soft, each has three pillows. The room has a mini bar. Orders in the room once a continental breakfast for 2 people (cappuccino, natural juice, toast, little, jam, pastries) - cost 19 euros ... Air conditioning - everything works, everything is regulated ... Mount Manzhuik, Sograda Familia, Rambla, market Bkeria on foot availability. There is a direct bus to Tibidabo from Plaza Catalunya (3.5 euros per person at one end). Barcelonetta beach is about 4km...far, but still walking (it's nice to walk around Barcelona). The Genius traveler's service was provided on departure - departure 2 hours later (upon prior request) In general - from the rest, city and hotel in delight! Thank you to the staff.

We booked an "improved double room" with two beds. Provided a room with a double bed (number 120 on the 1st floor). asked about two beds it was suggested to extend this one, we refused, because the room space did not allow - it would be difficult to move. room seemed cramped. Nowhere to put or disassemble the suitcases - only the bed. There is no balcony in the room - there is a window under the ceiling in the patio - for that from the street is complete silence. direct access to the patio to the pool solved the problem of the balcony. round Jacuzzi in the street, shown in the photo, is one of the rooms and all the others are not available. payment for the first day was written off 2 days before the check-in, upon check-in was asked to pay the full amount with the assurance to unblock the advance after the check-out. Naturally, we were outraged - and advance was immediately returned to the card (with which it was written off). We paid the full amount in cash - the problem was solved. From unpleasant trifles - badly drained water in the sink, breakfast is expensive in my opinion - 18 euros per person (so we did not take it). Breakfast in the nearest cafes - from 4 to 10 euros per person.

Good location close to Passeig de Gracia. Easy to walk to most highpoints of the city. Nice lobby. Breakfast very good.

Nice hotel! hotel has surpassed our expectations! location is beautiful on a quiet street, windows of the room overlook the courtyard, means that in the morning will be singing birds and sunshine is not trees. Initially, we booked an improved room from March 16 to 18 (the purpose of the trip - to celebrate my 25th birthday), at the arrival of no problem exchanged for a representative for an extra fee and absolutely not sorry! Room is very spacious, with an additional place to rest - a sofa, a table with two chairs. There was no balcony, it was not necessary, there was a high ceiling and huge windows! bed with 6 pillows, excellent sanitary ware and absolutely all soap accessories of good quality! closet even had a sachet with the hotel's signature scent! From such trifles all the impression is formed! Gave water as a welcome, cleaning the bed put small branded chocolates, in the bathroom put a vase with a real rose! Well, isn't it wonderful! In addition, there were free apples at reception, could be taken for a walk in Barcelona. hotel is highly recommended and would like to thank the reception staff and priests! We will definitely visit the hotels of this group again! Thank you so much!

I had a great time staying in a superior double room, and it was so convenient to explore Plaza de Catalunya and enjoy the nearby El Nacional for dining, made every evening feel special.

The hotel did not match up to information provided on the Internet. There was no free wireless and the hotel was noisy!

the location is very convinient, close to the centre of the city. there are a lot of bars and restourans, shops around.

Good location, close to all tourist attractions/Gaudi works. Reception people always nice, helpful and polite

(1) Parking the car overpriced (price of parking per day equivalent almost to car rental per day) - this is ridiculous. (2) Internet connection from the hotel totally unreliable, breaking all the time. (3) Keyboard on the guest computer downstairs should be long replaced and equipped with international layout - not Spanish.

I stayed for four nights and loved how spacious the executive room felt! The pool and sun terrace were perfect spots to unwind after a busy day. The only hiccup was the Wi-Fi wasn't the fastest, but it didn't ruin my overall experience-definitely try their breakfast 🌟

I had a lovely stay here! The complimentary reusable tote bag was a nice touch, and the breakfast spread was delicious, featuring various options, including fresh fruit and pastries. The room decor was tasteful, creating a cozy atmosphere. I'd definitely come back again!

Contepory accomodation, quite good location, the staff where freindly and very good overall value for money.

The jaccuzzi seemed uninviting a little grubby.
